Our Helpline is staffed by highly experienced and trained support workers. In February 2022 we supported over 800 contacts, so please know that you are not on your own.
The Helpline is the first point of contact to Men’s Aid services and from the moment you call, you will be listened to, believed and supported. You will be given the time and understanding to talk about your experience in a safe confidential space.
You can contact us directly, however we also receive calls and referrals from GP’s, medical professionals, social workers, teachers, Gardaí, workplaces, concerned friends and family members.
All calls are confidential, you do not have to tell us your name or any personal details. That is your choice, we are here to help and support you.
For most men, making the first telephone call to our service is the first step towards healing and getting support. Picking up the phone, dialling our number and speaking about the abuse you experienced, sometimes for the first time, can be the most daunting and frightening moment, we know this and we understand this. So take your time, take a breath, as long as you want to talk, we are here to listen and support you.
